Ukraine-Russia: President Vladimir Putin orders Russian troops into Donetsk and Luhansk regions in eastern Ukraine.

Moscow, Russia. 

On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree recognising the independence of the separatist-controlled Donetsk and Luhansk regions in eastern Ukraine’s Donbas area and ordered “peacekeepers” into the area. 

Footage overnight appeared to show Russian military convoys heading towards eastern Ukraine. 

Kyiv, Ukraine. 

On Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he is considering breaking off diplomatic relations with Russia, according to our sources in Kyiv, Ukraine. 

Berlin, Germany. 

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has announced he is halting the certification of the Nord Stream 2 Gas Pipeline from Russia,  sources from Berlin, Germany reported. 

Washington DC, United States.  

The US President Joe Biden is expected to announce a series of sanctions and other interventions after Russian troops enter eastern Ukraine. 

London, United Kingdom. 

The UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson is said to be ready launch sanctions against Kremlins and other associates of President Putin. On Tuesday afternoon, UK just summoned Russian ambassador over Ukraine invasion.

Brussels, Belgium. 

Other EU leaders are expected to announce sanctions on Russia on late Tuesday. 

The western community and NATO has been united in condemning Russia’s move.
