2027 ITAKUWA 1992/1997, 2002 AMA 2007? 🇰🇪
Kenya has experienced elections in the past that could offer clues about what may lie ahead in 2027.

About 2027?
President William Ruto is seeking Tutam.
The opposition is rallying around WanTam.
With figures such as Rigathi Gachagua, Kalonzo Musyoka, Edwin Sifuna, Fred Matiang’i and others calling for a united opposition candidate, the big question is:
Will 2027 look more like 1992 and 1997, where a divided opposition helped the incumbent?
Or will the opposition shelve individual ambitions and unite behind one candidate, like in 2002?
Could 2027 resemble 2007, with a fiercely contested election, allegations of electoral malpractice, disputed results and political tension?
And with the political violence, lawlessness and goonism we are witnessing today, could that become a defining feature of the 2027 campaign?
History does not always repeat itself. Sometimes, however, it rhymes.
🇰🇪 So, what do you think?
2027 will be more like 1992, 1997, 2002 or 2007?
