As voters in at least 50 nations get ready to cast ballots in this year's general elections, ChatGPT developer OpenAI has revealed a plan to stop its products from being used to propagate political misinformation.

In order to prevent the misuse of its enormously popular generative AI tools, the San Francisco-based artificial intelligence firm outlined a variety of recent initiatives and current restrictions in a blog post this week.

They can quickly produce original text and graphics, but they can also be used as a weapon to fabricate convincing phony photos or false messages.

Using its DALL-E picture generator, OpenAI will digitally watermark AI graphics to forever identify the content and its source. As a result, it will be simpler to determine if an image that appears elsewhere on the internet was produced with the AI tool.
