Trump's 2024 Campaign was entirely about 'Joe Biden is old and weak'. Well, all that changed when President Joe Biden(81) ended his reelection campaign and endorsed V.P. Kamala Harris(59).
Kamala Harris is a prosecutor. I'd say, she's tough, smart, decisive, appealing and a perfect Democratic fit to take on Donald Trump(78), now a convicted felon.
Here's what she said in 2020 when accepting to be Biden's VP pick, "I expect I'll be president someday. I'm young and in no hurry. What matters is defeating Hitler...I mean Trump..."
Trump already has a problem with women voters, as well as the Gen Zs. On reproductive rights, a winning issue for Democrats, Harris is a more forceful messenger than Biden.
Most recent polls (CNN, Fox News, YouGov, WSJ, NBC, The Times) shows that Harris polls better against Trump than Biden did, though Trump still maintain a slim lead.
Most political analysts agree that even before Biden dropped his reelection bid, Harris has long been a threat to Trump, and is now gaining traction on him. I will tell you what, this #KamalaHarris vs #DonaldTrump 2024 thing is race Trump didn't want or expect. It is throwing him off balance.
Since emerging as a presumptive Democratic presidential nominee last week, Kamala Harris' campaign has raised $200 million, of which 66% comes from first-time contributors in the 2024 election cycle. This is an eye popping haul in her fight against Trump-Vance ticket.
Let's talk a bit about J.D. Vance, Trump's confused VP pick. Recently, Mr Vance said women who haven't given birth like Kamala Harris are "childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives, and have no direct stake in America."
Vance is a phony. Gov. Benshear said the problem with Vance is that he has no conviction, but his running mate has 34.😂
Already Republicans are sponsoring a wave of conspiracies and false claims about Kamala Harris' eligibility and her background. Republicans are mad that Kamala is the Dem nominee. These fanatics thought it is somehow their God-given constitutional inalienable right to decide the Democratic Party nominee.
Importantly, all Democratic support coalesce around Kamala Harris. Now, the conversation is turning to a potential running mate. Who'll be that number two guy?
Here's my 'biased and unpopular' opinion😉
The task ahead for Kamala and Democrats is the VP nominee. Of course, it can't be my favorite Gov. Gavin Newsom, alas both are from California. It can't be my second favorite Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, both are women.
What about Senator Bernie Sanders, that'd be something and, Transport CS. Kipchumba Murkomen😅 huh? I mean Transport Sec. Pete Buttigieg. Pete would slaughter J.D. Vance and melt him in any debate. However, a woman + gay maybe a huddle too high for Democrats.
So, what's next or rather who is left to be the next Vice President of the United States?
I guess, Gov. Andy Beshear of Kentucky, Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona, Gov. Josh Shapiro and Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota are the remaining viable options.
Option one: Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona. He's a combat Vet Pilot, politician, astronaut, businessman, author, married to a gun violence survivor, the guy speaks Russian plus his name 'Kelly' will definitely drive Trump nuts😅 what else could you be looking for in a nominee.
The only problem with Senator Kelly is that Democrats need him in the Arizona's Senate seat. I understand Gov. Hobbs will temporarily appoint his replacement until a special election is held. But believe you me, Dems need Kelly to win any Arizona senate seat.
Option two: Gov. Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, a very strategic guy...
Option three: Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota. Unions love him...
Any of these great options as Harris' VP pick would make Trump's Vance not only look bad but also smell bad.
