Saving a Sinking Country

By RuzekiShadoww News
March 14, 2025

Since William Ruto became president, his most notable achievement is... well, there isn’t one.

From the moment he ascended to the highest office, Kenya has seen nothing but decline. He is simply not built for this job, and even many of those who voted for him in 2022—we, the people—now realize that. And we are furious.

For two years, Ruto has ruled with arrogance. The gap between him and the people has widened, festering like an open wound. Every day, his falsehoods fuel Kenyans' anger.

Many of us bought into his 2022 manifesto, but what we didn’t sign up for were the lies, abductions, lawlessness, and his relentless mission to make our lives unbearable. He has deceived us all—big time.

Yes, our country struggled under Uhuru, but under Ruto, it's far worse. His policies have led to economic hardship, heavy taxation, rising public debt, and worsening corruption, crippling businesses and households.

Beyond the economy, his administration has weakened democracy. Instead of empowering citizens, his leadership has fueled economic oppression and political suppression, leaving Kenya in crisis. Ruto has dismantled democracy's core pillars—checks and balances—leaving our civic freedoms in ruins. The media is under attack, free speech is under siege, and the rule of law is crumbling. Kenyans are outraged, except for those whose mouths are full.

Worse still, Ruto is dragging Kenya’s international reputation through the mud—damage that may never be undone. Once trust is lost on the global stage, it’s not easily regained.

In 2022, we made a choice because we believed his words. That was our mistake. There were better options—David Waihiga, Prof. Wajackoyah—but the majority settled for Ruto or Raila.

Now, we are informed voters. We recognize where we went wrong. This isn’t about victim-blaming. It’s about learning. About being careful as 2027 approaches.

We have seen Ruto’s true colors. And his old rival-turned-ally, Raila, has revealed his hand in this oppressive regime. That so-called handshake? It wasn’t about national unity. It was a transaction. A union of convenience. A union of evil.

The fate of our nation hangs in the balance—on the ballot—2027.

Millennials, Gen Z, and the People's Loyal Coalition—led by Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua, Fred Matiang’i, Rigathi Gachagua, Eugene Wamalwa, Natembeya, and Morara, among others—will liberate this country from the grave that Ruto and Raila have dug for us.

All the information you need is out there. If you choose to ignore it and reelect Ruto in 2027, that’s not on him. That’s on you.

To those who doubt if one vote can make a difference:

Can a single vote change the course of history?
Can one act of defiance create a legend?

Yes, it can.

But change comes at a cost. If you haven’t registered to vote, do it now. Enlighten your parents. Mobilize your friends. Join the People’s Loyal Coalition. Send William Ruto home in 2027.

It's 2025 and any Kenyan knows what is it like to live under a Pharaoh

By RuzekiShadoww News
January 13, 2025

Pharaoh is the personification of evil, despotic rule that denies and defies God. For my readers, this includes societal systems that keep the powerful in power and everyone else in their place.

If the Egyptians are the haves and the Israelites the have-nots, then yes, we belong in a gold chariot, moving through the world in a bubble of protection and privilege.

According to Exodus 15, Pharaoh was in direct opposition to God. Pharaoh and his team boasted of the ways they would hurt God’s people. Clearly, Pharaoh is termed as God’s enemy.

If you read the story of Pharaoh and Israelites in Egypt, you will agree with me that Ruto is exactly an embodiment of Pharaoh. He has been called Zakayo, Judas, Pharisee, Ceaser, and other biblical names but today I want to illustrate how Ruto is the Pharaoh of today.

Pharaoh was determined to keep the Israelites under his rule, exploiting them as a labor force and refusing to set them free. Despite countless pleas and warnings, he hardened his heart, abducting and killing many in his quest to maintain power. However, God, through Moses and Aaron, intervened to deliver the Israelites from their bondage in Egypt, guiding them toward the Promised Land.

In a strikingly similar manner, President William Ruto seems to be following in Pharaoh’s footsteps. His political allies, often referred to as his loyal “praise team,” appear to harbor disdain toward the very people they claim to serve.
Their rhetoric has turned hostile, with threats to manipulate the 2027 elections should Kenyans refuse to grant Ruto a second term. These allies boldly hint at rigging the votes to ensure he remains in power, disregarding the democratic will of the people.

Kenyans, however, have grown weary—tired of Ruto’s ubiquitous presence, his unfulfilled promises, and the empty words that have come to define his tenure.
Yet, just as the Israelites eventually saw the light at the end of their dark journey, so too will Kenyans. The end of his term is drawing near, and the people’s resolve for change grows stronger by the day. One term is enough, and the time for true liberation is on the horizon.

President Ruto is under strong criticism for using authoritarian tactics and cracking down on dissenting opinions.

By RuzekiShadoww News
December 26, 2024

Understandably, many Kenyans celebrated the end of Uhuru's brutal handshake regime, with hopes that the future of the country will be that of freedom and #democracy under President Ruto, where ordinary people can live a life of dignity and prosperity.

It is a yearning for a better future, for a new and democratic Kenya that majority of us woke up early and voted for Ruto &his UDA/KK brigade.

The quickness with which this Ruto regime turned against the ordinary hustlers was astonishing, and I am among the first to admit that at first I greatly underestimated the lies that Ruto was peddling.

I was his diehard supporter long before I even became a voter. My political difference with William Ruto rose sharply to the surface during the Finance Bill GenZ protests, the DP Gachagua impeachment saga as well as his inability to stop corruption including within the Public Service Commission.

What we expected to see in post-handshake Kenya is that abductions and #extrajudicial killings will end, graft will be reduced, fair taxes and that we get job opportunities for our young population... but Ruto is doing exactly the opposite.

He's abducting Kenyans; left, right and center. At this rate he'll run out of people to abduct and he might end up abducting his offsprings.

In 2024, the government has come under strong criticism for using authoritarian tactics and cracking down on dissenting opinions.

Whatever happens, the fall of Ruto was preluded by the beginning of what was a massive upsurge of political activism and GenZ struggle. Going forward, workers and youth are learning from their painful experience of unbearable life under Ruto.

Sooner or later the masses will enter into struggle against the abductions, in a struggle for human rights, fair taxes, jobs, and better policies.

As we end 2024, all the signs are there, that this bread-based government of Ruto, Raila and Uhuru, lack popular support among the population; and it will collapse like a deck of cards in 2025.

As African, my prayer is that Djibouti's candidate Mahmoud Ali Yousouff win the AUC elections in February 5, 2025.

In 2025, we will enter the next stage in the GenZ revolution. No amount of abductions will stop what is coming!

I urge all Kenyans to register as voters if you haven't registered, and be ready to join the new party to be launched soon by our Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Time factor: Two years is too short to judge Ruto's government?

By RuzekiShadoww News
December 11, 2024

IN KENYA, THERE'S MORE PAIN NOW IN DECEMBER 2024 THAN THERE WAS IN DECEMBER 2023.

During the Korom festival in Eldoret, where he was heckled, CS Kipchumba Murkomen cried that Kenyans should give President Ruto more time, claiming it's too early to criticize KK gov't or compare it to 10 years of Uhuru's...

For clarity, UHURU WAS A FAILURE, that's why Kenyans were against his endorsement of Raila. Millions voted for Ruto not because we loved him but because we just wanted Uhuru gone. Sadly, RUTO HAS PROVEN TO BE THE WORST CHOICE.

Ruto's manifesto was mouth-watering, but he is doing things outside his 2022 manifesto; i.e, killing &abducting youths, crippling the university education, taxing us more, enforcing culture of lies, shady deals like selling our airport to Adani, giving fake fertilizers, high cost of living, Shif/Sha confusion, Finance Bill, IEBC stalemate... Ruto is doing everything bad that he was against during the handshake regime 🚨

The Ruto PRAISE AND WORSHIP TEAM are now telling us to give him more time for better results. Excuse us! You've already killed/abducted us, tax us more, loot our taxes, try sell JKIA, mess with health sector, betrayed our truthful man and you think we should clap for you? HELL NO! We cannot be silent or give you more time to kill/abduct more Kenyans, tax us more or sell JKIA. WE WILL STOP YOU IN 2027 FROM DOING MORE DAMAGES.

RUTO'S PRESIDENCY IN 2024 HAS BEEN A DUPLICATE Of UHURU-RAILA (2018-2022 HANDSHAKE) regime. He's captured the parliament, opposition (Raila/ODM), judiciary, use independent entities like Police/DCI to do his political biddings, and silence dissenting opinions. Ruto only wants Mr/Mrs/Ms, "Yes Sir" type in his gov't.

Kenyans will keep exposing Ruto for what he is and this is definitely making his praise &worship team very uncomfortable.
They've resorted to using threats, insults, intimidations, and hiring goons to cause violence.

Uhuru and Moi were bad presidents but they didn't sunk too low to Ruto's level. Huyu pepo chafu is on a different level.

We were suffering under Uhuru-Raila regime, Kenyans were stranded in in darkness. Ruto managed to win our votes in 2022 because he promised to be a better president.

Here's an example to illustrate my msg 👆🏽

Have you been stranded in a bus/matatu stage, say, until past 10pm? Well, that's how Kenyans were stranded in 2022.
Some driver by the name William Ruto wooed us into his matatu (UDA/KK); saying he's going to Kisumu, for example. We boarded his matatu, and paid him handsomely.

According to the receipt, the destination was Kisumu. But the driver takes Mombasa Rd, speeds past Machakos, Mtito Andei, and Voi pap! and the driver (Ruto) says he wants more time to get us to Kisumu.
Only a fool can still believe that the matatu is heading to Kisumu.
The right path he (Ruto) should have taken us was through Waiyaki way, Limuru, Gilgil, Nakuru baas, then hapo we could have smiled kiasi knowing anatupeleka Kisumu or even ata kutufikisha tu Eldoret... Lakini huyu President Ruto anakanyangia 180km/h past Voi (towards Mombasa) na bado mnatuambia he's taking us to Kisumu. Wueh ogopa pepo chafu ⚠️

New University funding model is making half the students unable to pay fees or sustain themselves in campus, Sha/Shif is forcing patients &families to dig deeper into their empty pockets, shady Adani-JKIA deal would have costed us dearly, housing levy/ program is a scam &avoidable, and the 2024 fertilizers were full of sand.

I'm not done. Ruto's Government-Government fuel deal is not working (fuel is relatively cheaper in a landlocked Uganda despite accessing its fuel via Mombasa/Kenya. The reason is that Uganda has fewer taxes on fuel than Kenya), cost of power is over the roof (thanks to unexplainable taxes and stupid levies on electricity), political betrayal of our elected Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua (which destroyed another aspect of why some of us VOTED for Ruto), etc...

I will conclude my opinion by repeating that President Uhuru Kenyatta was a failure but President William Ruto is a disaster! Therefore, I urge my fellow Kenyans especially young people to register as a voter if you haven't registered yet. Come 10th of August 2027, let's show up and make President William Ruto a One Term President (OTP). Vote out all his shady MPs as well as send home all the corrupt governors.

It won't be easy but remember every vote counts. Viva Kenya!

 By Ruzeki, Shadow News

How to apply for the Hustler Fund

Kenyans in need of credit will from today (Nov. 30, 2022) be allowed to apply for loans known as the Hustler Fund, by dialing the code *254# across all networks.

This code will be operational to all Safaricom, Telkom, or Airtel registered phone numbers.

Interested applicants will then be asked to dial their ID number and select a pin number. Once one accepts the terms and conditions, one will be added to the Hustler Fund.

A ‘Hustler Fund app’ is also available to access the funds.

The loans in the personal finance product will range from a minimum of KES 500 to a maximum of KES 50,000

Money in this category has to be repaid within 14 days at an interest of eight percent, which will be calculated pro-rata or on a daily basis.

The fund also has an aspect of the saving culture. Every time one borrows, five per cent of the amount will go to a scheme where the money earns interest.

The money will be saved in the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) account of the borrower.

Kenyans aged 18 years and above and businesses with a turnover of KES 100 million and below qualify for loans.

Requirements

Among the requirements set by the government for prospective beneficiaries include an age limit that requires applicants to be at least 18 years old.

The responsibility to roll out and implement the plan is bestowed on the Ministry of Co-operatives and MSMEs.

  • Must be a Kenyan citizen of 18 years of age and above
  • Must have a valid national Identification Card (ID)

  • The SIM card in question can/will only be eligible if it has been used for more than 90 days.

  • Provide the Location of residence during the onboarding process (where applicable)

How to Repay Loan

Hustler Fund does not charge a processing fee, save for the five (5) per cent channelled towards saving.

The loan repayment will be made from your Mobile Money account; for example, you can offset the loan manually through the USSD code *254# or mobile app.
