Tehran now enforces strict transit rules and collects tolls from vessels navigating the Strait, with fees mandated in Chinese yuan rather than U.S. dollars. This trend may encourage other nations to diversify their reserves and trade arrangements, weakening the dollar’s role as the world’s primary reserve currency. In addition, China’s growing influence in energy markets is redefining economic power balances, allowing Beijing to leverage its currency and strategic partnerships for global political influence.

How Kenya Is Being Dragged Into a Dangerous U.S.-Israel War on Iran

Kenya could be on the frontline of a U.S.-Israel war on Iran as hundreds of American Marines train on our soil, putting the nation at unprecedented risk.

Nearly 600 U.S. Marines are training at various Kenyan military facilities, and U.S Camp Simba base, Manda Bay. Meanwhile, talks of the Kenyan Defence Forces escorting ships to the Middle East may be more than rumors; they could be a pretext to pull Kenya into an illegal U.S.-Israel war on Iran.  

With Iran having destroyed the U.S. military bases across the Middle East, Africa has become a safe staging ground for American forces, especially as European countries have refused to host them.  

In the last two weeks, many U.S. troops who were stationed in the Middle East have now relocated to Kenya and Diego Garcia. All signs point to preparations for a potential ground invasion of Iran. 

 

In Washington, Trump and his war cabinet are pushing hard for a “boots on the ground” narrative, something many Americans are not buying. Trump has even asked Tehran to accept defeat and agree to a ceasefire, but Iranians have dismissed it as “Trump speaking to himself.” Nobody is taking these negotiations seriously, and the IRGC is ready to respond to any American setting foot on the Iranian soil. 

This reckless strategy puts every Kenyan at risk. Since independence, Kenya has maintained good relations with the Iranian people, yet our outgoing president seems determined to drag the country into an illegal war, an excuse he could use to postpone the 2027 elections. He's making Kenya a legitimate target for the Iranian missiles, such as the Khorramshahr-4/Khaibar and Sejjil, the dancing missile, capable of hitting targets at upto 4000km. 

Do we even have a functioning air defense system? The answer is clear: we do not. The consequences could be catastrophic. 

Look at the Gulf states, they were hit hard by Iranian missiles while American forces avoided the brunt. If Kenya becomes involved, we could face the same fate. Complicity now could leave us paying the ultimate price. 

If we stay silent, we may only realize the cost when it’s too late.

In recent months, United States President Donald Trump has sharply escalated his attacks on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, accusing him of fuelling drug trafficking and driving mass migration from the Caribbean nation into the US. 

After weeks of escalating rhetoric and deadly airstrikes ordered by Trump, Secretary of 'War' Hegseth, U.S. President Donald Trump continues to issueultimatums to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro: step down or face further military action. Maduro, however, responded defiantly, rallying thousands of supporters in Caracas, where he danced and made it clear that he was ready for war with the United States. 

The chances of Maduro leaving voluntarily seem increasingly slim. Despite mounting pressure from the U.S. including aircraft carriers stationed off Venezuela's coast, a $50 million bounty on his head, and increasing military strikes, the Venezuelan president has shown no signs of surrendering. 

Trump's strategy seems to hinge on a mix of threats, military strikes, and a heavy military presence in the region in the hopes of either forcing Maduro into exile or coercing top Venezuelan generals to overthrow him. However, the situation is fraught with risk. In addition to the political cost at home, Trump faces opposition from within the U.S. population, with a recent CBS News poll showing 70% of Americans against military intervention in Venezuela. 

Trump has already ordered several strikes on civilian boats and threatened to target Venezuelan drug cartels on land. He also declared Venezuelan airspace closed, a significant escalation that has raised concerns about a potential full-scale military conflict. 

Venezuela’s position is far from isolated, however. Despite the U.S. buildup in the Caribbean, Venezuela still has strong allies in Russia and China. Following the U.S.'s imposition of harsh sanctions on Venezuela in 2017, Maduro's government turned to Russia for economic and military support. In May, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Maduro signed a strategic partnership, agreeing to jointly explore and develop new oil and gas fields, as well as to expand oil trading operations. 

With the world's largest oil reserves, Venezuela is a key player in global energy markets, making it a strategic target for the U.S., which has long sought to control the country’s vast energy resources.

President William Ruto's Role in Sudan Genocide: How Kenya's Arms, Passports and Blood Gold Fuel RSF War Crimes

Latest Developments: Leaked documents and reports from early 2026 suggest that senior figures in Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF), including Algoney Hamdan Dagalo Musa, brother of RSF commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), were issued Kenyan passports, enabling them to travel while facing international sanctions. These allegations have triggered public outcry, calls for investigations, and claims that security vetting was bypassed. 

The Kenyan mainstream media reports these actions were taken to assist a sanctioned warlord to evade international sanctions and facilitate movement. 

The ongoing violence in Sudan, led by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), has claimed thousands of innocent lives. At the heart of this crisis lies a disturbing connection between Kenya's President, illicit gold smuggling, passport scandal, and the UAE's support for the RSF. 

Why Are General Hemedti and Commander William Ruto Ordering the RSF to Kill Innocent Women and Children? 

It’s a straightforward question, and sadly, the answer is becoming more clear by the day. 

This week, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) launched brutal attacks on dozens of villages and humanitarian camps in El-Fasher, Western Darfur, massacring over 2,000 civilians, mostly women and children. 

Earlier this year, reports surfaced revealing that Kenya's military weapons were being used by the RSF in their campaign of genocide. One of the cargo planes transporting these weapons from Nairobi to Darfur was even downed by Sudanese military. 

The RSF is also using Kenya’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to smuggle blood gold to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. In exchange, the UAE’s Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ) provides them with UK-made weapons. And at the heart of these dark deals is none other than William Ruto. 

Ruto has positioned Kenya in a perilous situation, and it is time we hold his genocidal actions accountable. 

WHY? 

Because if we fail to act, when Ruto inevitably loses the 2027 election, he could turn the RSF into his personal militia, using them to maintain power by any means necessary. 

A Dangerous Legacy of Violence

They claimed that the late Raila Odinga was the face of violence due to his involvement in protests, but the reality is that William Kipchirchir Samoei Ruto may very well be the most violent figure of all. 

He’s the one backing the genocidal RSF in Sudan. He was once at ICC for burning children alive in a church, and recently, under his watch, Kenyan youth were killed on the frontlines by police. His support for rebels and his connection to bloodshed is undeniable. 

If this doesn’t make him the most dangerous, violent figure, then I’m not sure what will. 

May the souls of the 2,000 innocent El-Fasher civilians rest in eternal peace. 

The Role of Blood Gold in Fueling the Conflict 

In addition to providing arms to the RSF, the gold trade plays a crucial role in financing their brutal campaign. The RSF has been heavily involved in smuggling Sudanese gold to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where it enters the global market, bypassing international sanctions and enriching the militia. This illicit trade has allowed the RSF to continue operating with impunity, fueling the ongoing violence and humanitarian crisis in Sudan. 

Smuggling Routes and Geopolitical Ties 

The RSF controls much of Sudan's gold-producing regions, particularly in Darfur, and has used the proceeds from illegal gold mining to finance their operations. This blood gold is then smuggled out of Sudan through Kenya's JKIA, with the final destination being the UAE, where it is refined and sold on the global market. 

In exchange for the smuggled gold, the UAE, particularly through figures like Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ), has provided the RSF with military equipment, including weapons from the UK. This forms a vicious cycle: gold funding violence, and weapons enabling further bloodshed. 

Kenya’s Role in the Gold Trade 

Kenya's involvement has drawn significant concern, as the country’s ports and airports are being used as transit hubs for this illicit trade. The gold and weapons that pass through Kenya help fuel the RSF's genocidal actions in Sudan, making Kenya complicit in the conflict despite its public stance. This raises serious ethical and geopolitical concerns about Kenya's role in the Sudanese crisis. 

The Call for Accountability 

We cannot ignore the role William Ruto and his government are playing in facilitating this cycle of violence, through both the supply of military arms and the smuggling of blood gold. The international community must hold him accountable, and Kenya must address its complicity in this devastating conflict.

The bloodshed in Sudan is not just a distant tragedy; it is deeply tied to the geopolitical dealings of powerful figures, including President William Ruto, Hemedti, MBZ, and governments like Kenya's and the UAE's.

Tensions Soar as India and Pakistan Exchange Strikes Following Pahalgam Deadly Attack

A tit-for-tat strikes represent the most serious flare-up in years between the two nuclear-armed neighbors  

New Delhi/Islamabad — India launched airstrikes on nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir early Tuesday morning, in response to a militant assault in Pahalgam that left 26 civilians dead. The Indian government described the operation as a "precision retaliation" targeting militant infrastructure. 

“At 0400 hours, Indian Air Force jets struck carefully selected militant launch pads across the border. This is a measured response to the unprovoked killing of innocent lives in Pahalgam,” said Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in a press briefing. 

The strikes reportedly resulted in seven deaths, including at least two children, according to Pakistani officials. 

In a swift retaliation, Pakistan launched a barrage of ballistic and cruise missiles into Indian territory, earlier Wednesday. The Pakistani military stated the response was “necessary to uphold national sovereignty." 

“We will not allow any violation of our airspace or aggression against our people to go unanswered,” said Pakistani Army spokesperson Major General Ahmed Niazi. 

Artillery exchanges have also erupted along the Line of Control in Kashmir, with both sides reporting civilian displacements and damage to infrastructure. 

Residents in border villages are bracing for further escalation. “We heard explosions all night. We’re scared for our children,” said Farah Bano, a resident of Kupwara in Indian-administered Kashmir. 

Military analysts warn that the tit-for-tat strikes represent the most serious flare-up in years between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, who are sworn enemies. 

“This is a critical moment. Both countries need to pull back and re-establish communication channels. A full-scale conflict would be catastrophic not just for the region but globally,” said Arvind Menon, a South Asia security expert based in Delhi.

Yemen's Houthis hits central Israel for the first time

On Sunday at around 6:30 a.m, the Houthis successfully attacked a vital target close to Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv, Israel... with a hypersonic ballistic missile type Hatem-2, which was manufactured in Yemen. 

The Israeli air defense systems alongside two American destroyers & French fleet in the Red Sea did not intercept it, despite multiple attempts to shoot down the missile. 

Wow, the missile traveled 2,000 kilometers in 13 minutes...and evaded all the American advanced systems. 

Meanwhile, the Yemeni forces are already in Syria for ground operations against Israel. They'll join Hezbollah for this tactical operation in support of Gaza, the Hamas and Palestine 

On Saturday, Hezbollah launched a barrage of missiles into Israel, targeting the Metulla military base; dozens of Israeli soldiers were killed. In response, Israel attacked civilian residences in southern Lebanon. 

  

BREAKING: The ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan Announces Applications for Arrest Warrants in Relation to Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant

The ICC chief Prosecutor Karim Khan announces the arrest warrants of Israel's PM Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes against the state of Palestine. 

Meanwhile, in Tel Aviv, there's massive protest demanding that PM Netanyahu resign. 

ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan: 

On the basis of evidence collected and examined by my Office, I have reasonable grounds to believe that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, and Yoav Gallant, the Minister of Defence of Israel, bear criminal responsibility for  the following war crimes and crimes against humanity committed on the territory of the State of Palestine (in the Gaza strip) from at least 8 October 2023: 

• Starvation of civilians as a method of warfare as a war crime contrary to article 8(2)(b)(xxv) of the Statute;
• Wilfully causing great suffering, or serious injury to body or health contrary to article 8(2)(a)(iii), or cruel treatment as a war crime contrary to article 8(2)(c)(i);
• Wilful killing contrary to article 8(2)(a)(i), or Murder as a war crime contrary to article 8(2)(c)(i);
• Intentionally directing attacks against a civilian population as a war crime contrary to articles 8(2)(b)(i), or 8(2)(e)(i);
• Extermination and/or murder contrary to articles 7(1)(b) and 7(1)(a), including in the context of deaths caused by starvation, as a crime against humanity;
• Persecution as a crime against humanity contrary to article 7(1)(h);
• Other inhumane acts as crimes against humanity contrary to article 7(1)(k).

Opinion: As Iran responds, only hypocrites can defend Israel.

At least four countries, namely the US, UK, France, and Jordan joined forces with Israel to intercept some of the Iranian missiles before they could hit Israeli military targets. 

Seriously, if you can shoot down missiles heading for Israeli military targets, why can you shoot down missiles heading for civilian targets in Gaza⁉️ 

To be clear, you could have easily prevented the genocide in Gaza from day one, but you chose not to. 

During yesterday's emergency meeting at UNSC, Russia’s ambassador to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, called out the Western countries, including France, the UK and the US, are displaying “hypocrisy” after they declined to support a statement condemning the Israeli attack on the Iran consulate on April 1.

Americans, if you got humiliated by the Taliban, you can't beat Russia in Ukraine, you are unable to stop the Houthis blockade in the Red Sea, and are terrified at an Iranian response after Israel attacked their embassy, it might be a very good idea to stop trying to provoke China in the South China Sea. 

If you've ever said that Israel has a right to defend itself, why is it so hard to understand that Iran too has a right to defend itself? 

You think after Israel bombed Iranian embassy in Syria, Tehran would just count their loses and leave it to Allah? Hell No! Iran had to respond with hellfire of missiles, only targeting Israeli military targets. 

Here's Israel's evil plan:

Iran has invoked Article 51 of the UN Charter to justify its retaliatory attack on Israel. The provision grants countries the right to self-defence if they come under attack. 

Iranian officials have said their response to Israel’s attack on their Damascus consulate will be precise and limited. And that is what we have seen this evening in the operation dubbed “True Promise” by the Revolutionary Guard. 

Here's what we know about Iran’s attacks on Israel: 

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) said it fired hundreds of missiles at Israeli targets in retaliation to Israel’s deadly attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria on April 1. 

Iran’s military response marked its first direct attack on Israeli territory and began on Saturday night at around 20:00 GMT. 

Explosions were heard in cities across Israel, including Tel Aviv and West Jerusalem, and air raid sirens sounded in more than 720 locations as Israeli forces sought to shoot down the Iranian projectiles. 

The Israeli military later said Iran launched more than “200 killer drones, ballistic missiles and cruise missiles” at Israel and that the vast majority of the projectiles were intercepted outside the country’s borders, with help from the US and UK forces. 

The IDF added that a “small number of hits were identified”, including at a base in southern Israel, “where minor damage was caused to infrastructure”. According to Israeli military, there were no reports of major fatalities. 

Israel’s Home Front Command lifted its order for Israelis to stay near bomb shelters in the early hours of Sunday, at around 00:00 GMT. 

With the attack, Iran’s mission to the UN said it considered the matter of Israel’s raid on its consulate in Syria concluded and warned of a considerably more severe response should the Israeli regime make another mistake. 

The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting requested by Israel later on Sunday. 

Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Israel have temporarily closed their airspace while several airlines suspended flights in the region. 

The US president issued a statement on Iran’s attacks against Israel, shortly after speaking on the phone with Netanyahu, saying he condemns the assault “in the strongest possible terms”. 

Joe Biden said that US forces deployed to the region helped Israel take down “nearly all of the incoming drones and missiles” and reaffirmed Washington’s “ironclad commitment” to its ally’s security.

Israel is on high alert and actively preparing for Iranian retaliatory attack that could come as soon as within next week. 

After the Hamas surprise attack of Oct. 7, Israel has been relentlessly attacking Gaza. Israel has killed and maimed at least 100,000 civilians in Gaza, mostly children and women. 

Israel has gotten away with war crimes including Gaza genocide for the last six months. However on Monday, the Israel Defense Forces made one last big mistake of attacking Iran's consulate in Damascus, Syria. 

A retaliatory attack by Iran is now inevitable. 

It is clear that the IRAN-ISRAEL WAR will be mutually destructive and disruptive beyond the Middle East, but Iranians think it is high time that Israel pays for everything. 

The US asked Iran not to target American military personnel and facilities in the Middle East and that it cannot get involved in Iran-Israel war. The Americans understand that an attack on an embassy is an attack on the country to which that embassy belongs. 

Iran has vowed to target Israel in response to Monday’s Israeli airstrike in Iran's consulate in Syria that killed senior Iranian commanders among other officials. 

On Thursday, the Israeli Defense Forces announced that it was suspending leave for reservists, a day after it ordered the reinforcement of air defense units. 

The Israeli government continues to urge its citizens to remain calm. After Monday's Israeli attack on Iran's embassy complex, Israelis have been on full panic mode, many have been purchasing generators, emptying their ATMs, storing food, water and other essential commodities. 

Israelis are furiously working to hide ahead of what is to come, as they anticipate that Iran’s attack could unfold in a number of different ways. 

Gaza Genocide: UN Security Council passes resolution demanding Gaza ceasefire

Here's what you should know about UNSC cease-fire resolution: 

• The UN Security Council for the first time passes a resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. 
• Fourteen countries voted in favour of the resolution; the US, which is Israel’s main ally, abstained. 
• At least 34,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 80,000 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7. 
• The death toll in Israel from Hamas’s October 7 attack stands at 1,000, with dozens still held captive by both sides. 

Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, claimed that the resolution failed to demand a ceasefire without conditioning it on the release of captives in Gaza. In addition, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir termed the UN as the wasteland. 

As reported earlier, PM Netanyahu cancelled the departure of an Israeli delegation for talks at the White House on its planned Rafah offensive after the US abstained on the vote on the Security Council resolution. 

Hamas welcomed the UN Security Council resolution but also emphasises its own positions on a ceasefire and the release of captives. 

According to the White House, its abstention from a UN vote demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza does not represent a shift in US foreign policy. US officials are disappointed about Netanyahu’s decision not to send his advisers for talks at the White House about the Rafah operation. 

Malta, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Slovenia and other UN members continue to call for full implementation of the UN Security Council resolution that legally binds Israel to an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for roughly the next two weeks. 

The UN chief Antonio Guterres says the UN Security Council just approved a long-awaited resolution on Gaza that demands an immediate ceasefire and the immediate and unconditional release of all captives.

Algeria’s representative welcomed the resolution’s passing, saying the UN Security Council was finally shouldering its responsibility as the primary organ responsible for maintaining international peace and security. He added that the Gaza genocide had continued for far too long. 

Mozambique’s ambassador to the UN, Pedro Comissario Afonso, introduced the draft resolution demanding a ceasefire in Gaza. Russia’s ambassador to the UN Vasily Nebenzya proposed an amendment to Mozambique's text, but it is voted down by the United States. 

Moscow Concert Attack: At least 133 dead in terrorist attack; ISIS claims responsibility; four gunmen caught while heading to Ukraine

At least 133 people were killed and more than 200 injured when the terrorists stormed the building, firing indiscriminately and setting it alight. 

Russian authorities said 11 people were detained in total, and the four gunmen were caught while heading to Russia-Ukraine border.

The Islamic State terror group's claim was made through an ISIS-linked news agency and was not backed by any proof. 

What we know about the Moscow concert attack

• Men in camouflage broke into a Moscow concert hall and opened fire, shooting an unknown number of people. 
• The ISIS, which is believed to be a CIA and Mossad-backed terror group, has claimed responsibility but has not provided proof of the claim, which was made on ISIS-affiliated news agency Amaq on Telegram. 
• Russia officials said that at least 133 people are dead and more than 200 injured after the attack at Crocus City Hall on Friday. 
• A fire also started inside Crocus City Hall, a large concert venue northwest of central Moscow. 

Firefighters have evacuated about 300 people from the basement of the building and efforts are underway to rescue people from the roof, Russian emergency officials said. 

Russia security service said it was investigating the attack as a terrorist act. 

A popular rock band was scheduled to play what appeared to be a sold-out show at the venue, which has a maximum capacity of more than 9,000 people. 

Guards at the concert hall didn’t have guns, and some could have been killed at the start of the attack, Russian state media reported. 

According to some news outlets, the assailants fled before special forces and riot police arrived.

Reports said police patrols were looking for several vehicles the attackers could have used to escape. 

The U.S. had intelligence that ISIS could mount a mass casualty attack in Russia. In March 7, the U.S. embassy in Russia issued a warning about a possible extremist attacks, including at concerts, urging American citizens to stay away from large gatherings. 

Some Moscow concertgoers filmed events as they unfolded on Friday night, when gunmen opened fire inside a theater and people ran to take cover in fear for their lives.

Witnesses to today’s armed attack on Moscow’s Crocus City Hall told TASS news agency that they first mistook the gunfire for sounds of an installation being dismantled. 

The terror group Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack in Moscow.

The terror group, also known as ISIS and is believed to be backed by the US and Israel, did not provide any proof of its claim, which came from ISIS-affiliated news agency Amaq on Telegram. 

The ISIS terrorists have carried out a number of terror attacks, including the 2015 attacks in Paris that killed 130 people and a recent terror attack in Kerman, which killed about 100 Iranians, in January 2024. 

Russia’s commissioner for children’s rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, said children were among the victims of tonight's attack. 

Earlier, Russian officials released a preliminary casualty toll of at least 115 people dead and more than 200 injured. 

People and leaders from all over the world are among those who expressed their condolences to the victims of the attack at the Crocus concert hall in Moscow. 

Several regional leaders across Russia, have canceled public events this weekend over security considerations after the deadly concert attack in Moscow. 

Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations said the number of rescue crews responding to the attack is growing and now includes more than 320 firefighters, 130 emergency vehicles and three helicopters dumping water on the burning concert venue. 

According to RIA news agency, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said President Vladimir Putin was informed about the shooting at the Crocus concert hall "in the first minutes" of the attack.

THE HAGUE: The International Court of Justice (ICJ) holds public hearings in the case South Africa v. Israel

On Thursday, a legal hearing into the war in Gaza opens in The Hague as the international court of justice (ICJ) hears arguments alleging that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, Palestine.

 In its 84-page written application to the ICJ to open proceedings, South Africa said: 

The acts and omissions by Israel complained of by South Africa are genocidal in character because they are intended to bring about the destruction of a substantial part of the Palestinian national, racial and ethnical group.

Genocide cases can take years to resolve, but South Africa is asking the court to speedily implement “provisional measures” and “order Israel to cease killing and causing serious mental and bodily harm to Palestinian people in Gaza”. 

The filing also says Israel should cease deliberately inflicting conditions calculated to bring about the destruction of the Palestinians as a group, be ordered to prevent and punish incitement to genocide, and halt restrictions on aid as well as evacuation directives. 

Belgium’s deputy prime minister, Petra De Sutter, said that she wanted her country “to take action at the International Court of Justice, following the lead of South Africa”. 

Belgium cannot stand by and watch the immense human suffering in Gaza. We must act against the threat of genocide.

WHEN GOOD PEOPLE DO NOTHING, Children and women in Gaza will be wiped out by Israel

I Rutto Zedekia, alias Ruzeki (the co-founder of Shadow News) do have a message for my fellow citizens of Kenya, Africa and the world. 

But first, let me highlight some facts about the Israel-Palestine conflict: 

The 2023 Israel-Gaza war, an ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine in the Gaza Strip, is the fifth war in the Gaza-Israel conflict and a part of the broader Israeli-Palestinian conflict. 

Since the inevitable Oct. 7 retaliation by the Hamas fighters, around 2,000 casualties have been reported on the Israeli side and, majority of them being soldiers. It is estimated that 240 Israelis are still held hostage in Gaza by Hamas group. 

In Gaza, at least 13,000 Palestinians have been massacred by the Israeli armed forces, who have launched relentless airstrikes as well as a ground offensive. Among those killed in Gaza are nearly 6,000 children and 5,000 women. Nearly a million civilians have been displaced. 

Unapologetically, I have termed the actions of Hamas on Oct. 7 as an inevitable retaliation. Israel knew such a day would eventually come; after years of Gaza blockade, settlement expansion, Israeli settlers assaulting Palestinians, normalized raids on holy sites, among other injustices. 

The West will try to tell you that the Israel-Gaza war started after armed attack by the Hamas on 7 October 2023. But, that's not true. The current humanitarian crisis or rather the genocide we're witnessing in Gaza is a result of the 1948 'deliberate colonial' decision to establish the state of Israel, and deny Palestine the right to statehood. 

The question of Palestine was first brought before the UN General Assembly in 1947. By resolution 181 (II), the Assembly decided to partition Palestine into two states, one Arab and one Jewish, with Jerusalem placed under a special international regime. This TWO-STATE resolution has never been implemented. 

That's a short history about the current Israel-Palestine conflict. Now, here's my message to the world. 

"WHEN GOOD PEOPLE DO NOTHING"

My fellow citizens of the world,

 

We can no longer afford to be silent &allow Israel to continue this Gaza genocide‌.

In the Old Testament book of Proverbs 24, it says if you do nothing in a difficult time, your strength will be limited. It urges us to rescue those being taken off to death, and save those stumbling toward slaughter. It concludes by saying do not say we didn’t know about it (Gaza genocide or any form of injustice).

Well, I tell you, the time to speak is NOW!

 

For 75 years we've listened silently to the cries of the oppressed Palestinians but we can no longer be silent &just wish that it will all go away.

 

Whenever the cries in Gaza stop it will mean that all children/women have died.

 

The death toll in Gaza just in one month should alarm us. It should alarm us when the struggle to get a ceasefire is blocked by the Permanent members in the UN Security Council.

It should alarm us when the United States of America send billions worth of military aid to Israel. It should alarm us when the United Kingdom's House of Commons votes to encourage Israeli war crimes.

 

It should alarm us when some countries in the Middle East ignores the sufferings of civilians in Gaza. We can no longer afford to be silent and allow injustice to prevail.

 

For many decades, Palestinians have been ethnically profiled, bullied, hanged, discriminated against, raped, beaten, brutalized, denied food/water/fuel and livelihoods & self-determination...but the time is now to speak out against these injustices.

 

I call upon those in Africa, America, Asia, Europe and elsewhere, we can no longer cower in fear &hide. We are stronger together. Children/women in Gaza are depending on us, so please let's not fail them.

 

If you're a muslim, christian, jewish, hindu, etc, do not remain silent at this time. Let the liberation of Palestine arise from all corners of the world."

Osama bin Laden's 'Letter To America' Goes Viral

A 21 years-old 'letter to America' by Osama bin Laden has gone viral, sparking controversy and debate. 

Story Highlights: 

• "Letter to America”, a two-decade-old letter written by the late Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden. 

• The letter is going viral after TikTok influencers shared it, claiming it provides clues to the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. 

• The letter reveals why the U.S. support Israel occupation of Palestine and the reason why Al-Qaeda fought America. 

• The full text of Osama bin Laden’s “letter to the America”, was first reported on Sunday 24 November 2002. 

• On 15 November 2023, the Guardian News has since deleted the letter after it went viral. 

In the 21-year letter to America, Osama bin Laden said that the 9/11 attacks happened because of America’s support of Israel. 
"Palestine shall not be seen captive for we will try to break its shackles. The United States shall pay for its arrogance with the blood of their citizens." 

The letter reads in part, "They threw hundreds of thousands of soldiers against us and have formed an alliance with the Israelis to oppress us and occupy our land; that was the reason for our response on the eleventh.” 

"Your former president warned you previously about the devastating Jewish control of wealth and about a day that would come when it would enslave you." 

The letter has been described as anti-Semitic by some in America, Europe and of course Israel. Guardian News removed the letter, TikTok has since ban videos showing or supporting the Osama bin Laden's 'letter to America'. Apparently, that's how "free speech" works in the U.S. and Europe. 

To be clear, Shadow News cannot remove, ban or hide this 'Letter to America'. We believe the right to access information is a key component of democracy and freedom of speech.

Israel-Palestine Conflict: Urgent need for a comprehensive and lasting peace

In the heart of the Middle East, the Palestine-Israel conflict continues to evoke suffering, strife and instability, casting a shadow over the prospects of regional harmony and global peace. 

Over six decades, Middle East has witnessed a cycle of violence, displacement, war crimes, and shattered livelihoods, underscoring the urgent need for a comprehensive and lasting resolution. 

The ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict has far-reaching implications, not only for the immediate region but also for the global geopolitical sphere. 

Amidst the complexities of this conflict, a remarkable opportunity has emerged for a transformative reshaping of the Middle East. The evolving dynamics have unveiled a unique moment that demands a holistic re-evaluation of regional alliances, power structures, and diplomatic avenues. 

As the ramifications of the recent conflict reverberate across borders, it has become increasingly apparent that the prevailing status quo is in a state of flux. This critical moment presents an opportunity to chart a new course for the Middle East, one that fosters stability, security and constructive engagement. 

The principles embedded in the United Nations resolutions, provide a foundation for the peaceful settlement of disputes, promoting the ideals of justice, human rights and self-determination. 

A two-state solution 

As we cover this conflict, it is evident that the gateway to sustainable peace lies in upholding international humanitarian laws and embracing a United Nations 181 (II) two-state resolution. 

The UN Security Council Resolution 242 and 338 underscore the imperative of the withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from the occupied territories after the 1967 conflict, while simultaneously emphasising the right of all states in the region to live within secure and recognised boundaries. 

It is imperative for all parties involved to honour and respect these crucial resolutions, as they form the bedrock upon which a just and lasting peace can be built. 

At the core of this quest for peace lies the pivotal concept of a TWO-STATE SOLUTION, wherein an independent and sovereign Palestinian state coexists alongside the State of Israel, each within secure and recognised borders. 

The establishment of a viable Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, is essential for the realisation of the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the fulfillment of their legitimate aspirations for statehood. 

This will also safeguard the security and well-being of the State of Israel allowing its citizens to live in peace and security within internationally recognised borders. 

A two-state solution offers the promise of a shared future, fostering the possibilities of cooperation, mutual respect and economic prosperity for both Palestinians and Israelis. 

It envisages the creation of an environment conducive to dialogue, understanding and the cultivation of peaceful relations, paving the way for the cultivation of trust and the gradual dismantling of deep-seated animosities. 

Additionally, it could open the door for the international community to actively contribute to the process of reconciliation, offering the necessary support for the establishment of institutions, infrastructure and mechanisms that promote good governance, rule of law and socioeconomic development. 

The pursuit of a peaceful resolution demands unwavering commitment and sincere engagement from all parties involved (Israel, Palestine, US, Iran, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Russia, China, UN, etc). It necessitates a collective will to transcend the barriers of distrust and suspicion, replacing them with the pillars of mutual recognition, respect and empathy. 

Genuine efforts towards peace require the renunciation of violence, terrorism and all forms of provocation that undermine the prospects of meaningful dialogue and negotiation. It also demands a cessation of all occupation activities, as they represent a significant obstacle to the realisation of a viable Palestinian state. 

The international community must play an active role in facilitating and supporting the peace process, ensuring that all diplomatic initiatives and negotiations are anchored in the principles of international law, justice and equity. 

Multilateral organisations and key global stakeholders should foster an environment conducive to meaningful dialogue, offering their expertise, resources and guidance to navigate the complex terrain of negotiations and reconciliation. 

Furthermore, they must encourage both parties to uphold their commitments and adhere to the agreed-upon framework for peaceful coexistence. 

As we stand at this critical juncture, let us reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the pursuit of peace and justice in the Middle East. Let us reiterate our dedication to upholding the fundamental principles of international law and promoting the rights and dignity of all individuals in the region. Let us envision a future where Palestinians and Israelis coexist in harmony, embracing the ideals of tolerance, understanding and respect. 

The journey toward peace may be arduous, but it is a path we must traverse for the collective well-being of the Middle East and the global community. 

The transformative potential of this moment cannot be understated. It calls for bold, visionary leadership that embraces the ideals of inclusivity, collaboration and collective progress. By seizing this historic opportunity, Palestinians and Israelis can play a pivotal role in shaping a future for the Middle East that is defined by cooperation, stability and shared prosperity. 

Now is the time for Israelis and Palestinians to chart a path that not only enhances their strategic position but also contributes to the collective advancement and well-being of the entire Middle East.
